Monday 29 June 2009 - Results week commencing 22nd June

On Saturday the men led the way in the Monthly Medals with the excellent scoring conditions resulting in a CSS of 69. In the first group out Andy Shand (5) set the pace in Section 1 (0-12) with a 65 which, not surprisingly, wasn't bettered all day. Steven Thomas (9) 69 took 2nd place holding off Rory Simpson (12) and Russell Ferguson (10) on countback with Kenny MacDonald (6) 71 in 5th and Fraser Sharp (5) one stroke back in 6th place.  In Section 2 (13-28) late starter Ken Malcolm (20) claimed the prize with an excellent 68 despite a triple bogey 8 at the par 5 13th hole. Runner up Pete Smith (14) enjoyed a steady round for a 69, one stroke clear of 3 players on 70, Vince McLaughlin taking 3rd ahead of David Ross (19) and Andy Grigor (16) on countback.
