At Boat of Garten on Saturday there was another good entry for the Craiggowrie Cup, a bogey competition. The early starters had the best of the day’s conditions and Steven Thomas (8) and Andy Grigor (16) set the pace with +2. Sandy Macadam (14) and Bob Coupar (13) both came close with +1 but it was Willie Gray (11) who eventually took the lead on +3. However, it was late finisher John Dingwall (13) whose +4 was too good for the rest of the field and who took the trophy. The first 4 on the prize list all earned a cut in their handicap.
