The first of Boat's two par 5’s, "Birches" offers an invitingly wide landing area for your drive but beware, the birches, heather and gorse all down the right hand side of this hole.
For those who can drive the ball over the ridge in the fairway (260 yds), a chance to go for the green in two. More often, with the prevailing wind head-on, the hole is played as a proper par 5, with the fairway narrowing for the last 100 yds to a green guarded by 2 bunkers on the left.
